Seongsu with Kids: Best Restaurant & Cafe Course (Gyuendang Gyukatsu Review)

🍽️ Seongsu with Kids – Where to Eat

If you’re visiting Seongsu with kids, one of the most important things to plan is where to eat.

(Of course, for my child, visiting the Teenieping store was actually the main goal 😂)

Many Korean dishes tend to be spicy or strongly seasoned, which makes it difficult for children to enjoy. So we were looking for a kid-friendly restaurant in Seongsu, and that’s how we found Gyuendang, a popular gyukatsu restaurant in Seoul.

📍 Location

Gyuendang is located at
2F, 10 Yeonmujang 7ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

It’s also very easy to reach—just a short walk from Seongsu Station (Exit 3 or 4), making it a convenient stop when exploring Seongsu with kids.

🚗 Parking Tip

Parking in Seongsu can be quite difficult, as there are not many available spaces.
If you don’t reserve a spot in advance using apps like “Modu Parking” (모두의주차장), you may end up having a hard time finding parking.

For that reason, I highly recommend using public transportation when visiting Seongsu.

🥩 Gyuendang – A Kid-Friendly Restaurant in Seongsu

Gyuendang is a relatively new Seongsu restaurant, but it already has many great reviews, so we were excited to try it.

When we arrived, there were already 8 teams waiting. Since we were a group of three, it took longer to get seated. If you’re visiting Seongsu with kids, going early might save you some waiting time.

You can register your spot at the entrance, and updates are sent through Catch Table via KakaoTalk. It’s very convenient because you can check how many teams are ahead in real time and come back when your turn is near.

The estimated wait time was about 40 minutes, but in reality, we waited a little over an hour.

🍳 Best Kid-Friendly Menu: Gyukatsu & Omurice

We ordered:

  • Tenderloin gyukatsu
  • Sirloin gyukatsu
  • Hamburg omurice

If you’re searching for a kid-friendly restaurant in Seoul, this menu works really well.

The omurice with the soft, fluffy egg was especially appealing to my child, and she ended up eating much more than expected.

🧈 Why This Gyukatsu in Seoul Is Special

One thing that makes this gyukatsu restaurant in Seoul stand out is the use of Isigny butter.

Unlike other places, you can melt the butter on a small grill and cook the beef yourself. The crispy coating fried in butter and the tender meat inside made it incredibly delicious.

If you’re looking for gyukatsu in Seoul, this place is definitely worth trying.

😊 A Great Meal for Families

After the meal, our child was full and happy, which made the experience even better.

If you’re planning a trip to Seongsu with kids, choosing a place like Gyuendang can make your day much easier.

🥨 Bakery Cafe Stop – Beckerin (Takeout)

We stopped by Beckerin, a well-known bakery in Seongsu, often considered a must-visit spot for bread lovers.

We ordered:

  • Coffee
  • Cinnamon pretzel
  • Garlic parmesan pretzel

Instead of sitting inside, we chose to take everything to go and head toward the Teenieping store.

📍 Location

Beckerin is located at
32 Yeonmujang 5ga-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

☕ Exploring Seongsu Streets with Coffee

One of the best things about Seongsu with kids is simply walking around.

There are so many interesting streets and shops, and the area is always lively. You don’t necessarily need to sit inside a cafe—taking your coffee to go and exploring can be just as enjoyable.

That said, Beckerin also has seating inside if you prefer a break.

💡 Final Thoughts

If you’re visiting Seongsu with kids and wondering where to eat,
this combination of Gyuendang (restaurant) + Beckerin (bakery cafe) makes for a perfect and satisfying food course.
